Jimmy Fallon Slams Donald Trump's Press Conference On 'Tonight Show'

On Wednesday’s “Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon slammed Donald Trump’s astounding Charlottesville press conference. Watch the video above!

As Gossip Cop reported, Fallon shared a heartfelt message about the violence in Charlottesville during his opening monologue on Monday’s “Tonight Show.” Abandoning his usual jokes about the president, the late night host said of the violence in Virginia, “Even though ‘The Tonight Show’ isn’t a political show, it’s my responsibility to stand up against intolerance and extremism as a human being.” He added, “What happened over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, was just disgusting. I was watching the news like everyone else, and when you’re seeing Nazi flags and torches and white supremacists, I was sick to my stomach.”

But in a shift from Monday night’s emotional monologue, Fallon returned to his comedic self, mocking Trump’s Tuesday press conference. “President Trump gave a big press conference on the subject of infrastructure. All he had to do was just stop right there. Just stop talking. For five minutes,” Fallon joked. “Mind you, this is him on vacation. He can’t even get vacation right! Imagine coming back to the office, ‘Hey, how was your two-week break?’ ‘It was good. I defended Nazis. What’d you do?’ I think Grandpa’s getting loopy.”

He went on, “I guess this morning he went to the Trump Tower lost and found looking for his mind. It’s crazy. I’m starting to miss the old days when we were on the verge of nuclear war with North Korea.” And as Gossip Cop reported, Jimmy Kimmel also slammed Trump’s Charlottesville press conference on Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” branding the president as a “total disaster” for arguing that “both sides” of the clashes in Virginia were to blame for the violence.
