Josh Hutcherson has a secret he’s been holding inside for about 15 years: He once let one rip and FARTED ON TOM HANKS. He finally fessed up on “The Late Late Show with James Cordon” last week.
It was during the making of the 2004 holiday classic “The Polar Express,” and Josh was only 9 at the time, so maybe we can all cut him a little slack.
They were filming a scene where the kid played by Josh was skiing along the top of the train with a Hobo played by Tom. Now, “The Polar Express” was a motion-capture movie, so they actually had to be in same positions as their characters.
At one point, they’re both standing on the same pair of skis, with Josh in front, and that’s when he let one rip. Josh said, “That was my first big movie…and I was working with Robert Zemeckis and Tom Hank…and I just farted in his face!”
“Instead of playing it cool, Tom Hanks was like, ‘Whoa whoa, oh my God, this kid…What the heck? Oh my God!'”
He added, “Looking back on it, it was very funny. But at that moment I thought my face was going to start sweating blood"
