It seems like just yesterday Justin Bieber was a punk who thought it was funny to pee in a restaurant’s mop bucket. Now, he’s apparently a devout Christian…and religion might play a bigger role in his new music.
Britain’s not-always-reliable “Sun” tabloid claims he’s working on a “comeback album” with, “Christian-appropriate” songs.
Technically, no one is saying it will be a full-on Christian album, but a source says, “Justin is on the lookout for songs which really reflect where he is in his life in terms of spirituality.
“He’s always been religious, but in the last two years [he’s grown] closer to the church, and it’s changed his entire life. He has a totally different outlook now…he’s reshaping his sound so it’s more in line with the church’s values and beliefs.”
Even if this is true, it might not have that much of an effect on Justin’s music.
That said, he’s still a big star, with some pretty obsessive fans. So, if anyone could pull off a shift from mainstream pop to Christian music if even for an entire album, he might be able to do it.
