Tom Brady “Pleads the Fifth” When Asked If the Patriots Appreciate Him?

There’s been talk about the New England Patriots’ dynasty being on the decline…and for the most part, it seems like wishful thinking from the rest of the league.  But maybe there is some trouble brewing.

Yesterday, Tom Brady was asked if he feels appreciated by the team, and he said, “I plead the Fifth.” But then, he went into more detail, “That’s a tough question…

“I think everybody in general wants to be appreciated more at work, in their professional life.  But there’s a lot of people that appreciate me way more than I ever thought was possible…

“The people I work with are trying to get the best out of me.  So they’re trying to treat me in a way that they feel is going to get the best out of me.”  (Here’s a clip.)

For what it’s worth, Brady also had very complimentary things to say about Bill Belichick during that same interview, but he did question Belichick’s decision to bench Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl.

Also, Brady may be the best quarterback of all time, but he was only the 15th highest paid quarterback in the league last year.
