Starring Cardi B, Lizzo, Lili Reinhart (Betty from "Riverdale"), Jennifer Lopez (J Lo also co-produced the movie with amazing minds like Will Ferrell & Adam McKay, also randomly behind my latest TV obsession "Succession"), Hustlers is already a triumphant Shero-themed tale of survival. According to director Lorene Scafaria, the movie was dropped by its original studio after more than 2 years of work had already gone into creating the film. Refusing to give up on the story she so whole-heartedly believed in telling, she didn't give up and finally got a call + official green-light from another studio, STXfilms, earlier this year.
"Hustlers is a high-stakes story about the realities of women trying to succeed in their chosen profession. Everybody has a certain amount of hurdles before the starting line. Some have fewer than others and some have more than others. It's sort of a wonder that anyone can even finish the race.” These powerful words have me beyond inspired. The time is coming, all-powerful females.
