#SHUTDOWN: Chef José Andrés expands #ChefsForFeds nationwide!

Actions. Not words. 

And... once again... IMMIGRANTS... get the JOB DONE! 

With the United States of America facing a HUMANITARIAN CRISIS brought about by the Shutdown of the American Government, DC-based chef, José Andrés, is rallying people to help their fellow Americans suffering... 

The Nobel Peace Prize nominee posted the video above to his Twitter feed earlier today, announcing that his WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN, which has fed 18,000 furloughed American federal employees at his DC-based location, has announced plans to expand their efforts nationwide, and has issued a call to restaurant owners and food truck owners across the country for help!

If you’re a restaurant, food truck, non-profit, or business interested in serving meals in your community to some of the 800,000 federal employees impacted by the shutdown, we want you!

More details to follow as the Chef's efforts ramp up. In DC, the Andres' efforts have rallied hundreds of volunteers to help feed and serve thousands and thousands of unpaid, furloughed federal employees in crisis because of the shutdown. His food kitchen, based at his THINK FOOD GROUP headquarters and lab, have only been open and in action for four days.
