Chevy Chase Village residents upset dogs bark too loudly... at a dog park!

I have just finished reading the greatest piece of journalism I've read in some time.

Washington Post reporter Jessica Contrera just broke the story of how residents of Chevy Chase Village, a "well heeled" enclave just outside of the Capital City of the Free World, are up in arms over a dog park where the dogs... are being dogs...

... just a bit too loudly.

Now, as the story goes, the residents of this community, where homes range from the low-rent $1 MILLION DOLLAR range all the way up to $22.5 MILLION, built a modest $300k dog park for the dogs to go and do what dogs do. That's when the complaints started to roll in. Some residents, she reports, called the cops EVERY DAMN DAY to report that dogs were barking loudly.

Authorities put up signs encouraging the dogs to curb "excessive barking," which, Contrera, on Twitter, points out that the dogs "couldn't read."

Anyway, long story short, one resident is raising hell, others are fighting back, and the fate of the dog park in Chevy Chase Village swings in the balance...

BUT YOU MUST READ HER TWITTER FEED and the COMMENTS!

The way she breaks it all down - Tweet by Tweet - and the deluge of comments... really tells the story of just how petty this whole story really is!

Jessica, thanks to you, I'm taking Clover Maxwell, our Maltese pooch, over to this puppy park and I'm going to encourage him to let all of his feelings out the way he wants to let them out... one, two, 10 barks at a time! Thank you so much for the laugh today, this whole ordeal has my cheeks hurting from laughing so hard!

Great Reporting!
